The above title is one of the burning questions in most of the young minds. When something is being bought by the parents for their children, there will definitely be equal sharing. But is this happening now from a government's perspective? No.Metropolitan cities are given the prime importance in the implementation of most of the new projects. The reason stated for this is the IT industry. Our people should never forget that India is an agricultural country. If all the farmers decide one day to stop their harvesting, then we have a big problem.
The imbalance in the investment of money can be seen in the historically never seen hike of the inflation rate(approaching 12%).
The prime need of the hour is village empowerment. We again need leaders to guide India in to the right path and preventing the posterity.

Insisting development in metros is seemed to be a short term focus. For a country to have sustained, as you said, surely equal sharing should be done.
Extension of metros might be a better solutions to nearby villages.
