This is the first medal in the Beijing Olympics for our nation which has been secured by Abhinav Bindra in Men's 10m air rifle. The entire nation is proud on the golden boy and is expecting more contributions from our sportsmen.
The advancement of Saina and Sridhar also has boosted our confidence in the hunt for medals.
Let's hope India atleast poses a future threat to the world nations in this Olympics.

BACK TO BACK BOMB BLASTS

This is the kind of a scene at the site of the recent bomb blasts at Bangalore and Ahmedabad
that shook the entire country. I really don't know why these merciless terrorists are not caring about the lives of the innocent people. They do such atrocities for a cause which they term it as divine and noble. If they are fighting for a noble cause, then the path taken should also be noble.
Really I couldn't go beyond this. At this point I pray for the lost souls in this cruel massacre.
Let their kind souls rest in peace.

A DISGRACE TO EVERY INDIAN

"The Lok Sabha witnessed high drama when a Bharatiya Janata Party member shocked the House by walking into the well with a bag full of currency notes, which he claimed was given by a Samajwadi Party leader in return for his support in the trust vote. Trouble broke out when Ashok Argal, a BJP member from Morena and some others took out wads after wads of currency notes to substantiate their claim that horse-trading had taken place and heavy cash was used to `purchase` MPs for the trial of strength.Looking at the press gallery, the BJP members alleged that an SP leader promised three of them Rs 3 crores each, of which Rs 1 crore was paid in advance. - NEWS "
The above scene is one of the most disgraceful images in the history of Indian politics. The Parliament is considered as one of the most sacred buildings wherein the welfare of each and every Indian is considered and is thought of. It is the place where the fate of every Indian is sealed. But the events that had happened now, really hangs our heads down in front of the world nations.
In order to prove the current government's strength, a vote of no-confidence motion was scheduled on 22nd July. The government's bais towards metros, inflation rate , etc. were some of the negatives against them. Thus curiosity arose through out the nation. Yet the ruling party won the election comfortably. But the opposite party, complaints that they were bribed in favour of the ruling party.
I would say that these opposite party don't have their minds in their right senses. They were not worried about the country but just want to do politics. How are they throwing the packs of currencies just like garbage?
This is just ridiculous! and people need to think on this!

Only God can save us!

Development - only to Metros??

The above title is one of the burning questions in most of the young minds. When something is being bought by the parents for their children, there will definitely be equal sharing. But is this happening now from a government's perspective? No.
Metropolitan cities are given the prime importance in the implementation of most of the new projects. The reason stated for this is the IT industry. Our people should never forget that India is an agricultural country. If all the farmers decide one day to stop their harvesting, then we have a big problem.
The imbalance in the investment of money can be seen in the historically never seen hike of the inflation rate(approaching 12%).
The prime need of the hour is village empowerment. We again need leaders to guide India in to the right path and preventing the posterity.

God! help these people

Amarnath pilgrim dies, death toll rises to 46
This is one of the saddest incidents that is happening in our country without fail inspite of every measures taken. People are so devoted such that they are ready to risk anything (even their lives) to pay one last visit to the Sivan temple. They sacrifice everything before they reach the 'Pani Lingam'.
There is nothing wrong from the security point of view because they too are humans. They try their level best in order to maintain the security in that area. Yet unavoidable accidents happen which kills many innocent people.
With his death, the number of pilgrims who passed away since the commencement of the annual pilgrimage on June 17 has risen to 43. A porter, a local shopkeeper and a policeman have also died in accidents on the tracks.
Thus it is left only in the hands of Lord Shiva to take care of his children who face all sorts of hardships to have a glimpse of him.

IPL - Is it necessary!!!!!!!!!!!!

Indian Premier League was one of the most rocking events that filled the pages of history books with points except cricket(!!). Yes, though it was a cricket series, the way the event progressed was just money minded. M.S.Dhoni was caught by every cameras not because of his hitting of sixes but because of the 6 crore rupee in his bag and the no. of ads. he endorsed.
Not only Dhoni, the inclusion of cinema into sports was pathetic. Most importantly the closing ceremony of the grand event didnot have the Indian National Anthem instead had the song Andankkaka to which Diya Mirza danced a great ! number.
When entry was allowed to foreign cricketers and cheergirls, culture was asked to stay at their houses. The performance of cheergirls amidst the match was totally unnecessary.
Vijay Mallya openly slamming Rahul Dravid in the media, Harbhajan Singh strongly slapping Sreesanth in the ground , ... thus goes the count of some of the embarrassing events that overshadowed the glitz of IPL.
But still I also would say real talent was awarded(Rajasthan royals, the cheapest team, winning the championship).
Still is such a money drain necessary in a developing nation like India?
People like Mukesh Ambani can invest their sacks of money in any life giving activities, instead of investing in IPL or in a 27 storeyed bungalow.

The Richest Drop out of school has finally called it a day by completely stepping down from Microsoft. Yes! Bill Gates is no more the Owner of Microsoft. Bill Gates's retirement from Microsoft marked the end of an era for the software gaint.
Really, the way Gates had developed Microsoft is a lesson to many. He has decided to spend his time on charity now. He and his wife Melinda Gates had a great passion towards this unearthly act of love and care.
Thus on behalf of the entire country I bid farewell to the one who taught the world what passion was!

DASHAVATHARAM - CHAOS THEORY

At last Kamal Hasan's dream project has hit the theaters and is smashing worldwide. The kind of involvement shown by Kamal in the movie is just being our imaginations. Credit should also be given to Cameraman Ravivarman for his splendid capturing of many images of Kamal in a single frame and also the Director Ravikumar. The important thing to be noted in the movie is its link with a very famous theory called as the "Chaos theory".
The theory states that the cause for a particular incident may not have any link at all with that incident. In the movie Lord Vishnu's idol forms the basis for the Tsunami to occur.
According to God lover's , this is just an act of God. But for the believers of the theory it is Fate.
Even Speilberg used this theory in his blockbuster "The Jurassic Park" where an entire park of dinosaurs are bred from the genes present in the blood of a dinosaur which is in a mosquito being encrypted in the rocks.
Thus the way Chaos theory works is just unimaginable.

VALUE OF MONEY

India today faces one of the tough situations we have ever faced these many years. The price hike of Rs. 5 for Petrol, Rs. 3 for Diesel and Rs. 50 for Gas(!!!) has really turned off all the vehicles as well as the gas stoves.
We the normal people can't understand what is going on inside the government buildings. For us only the results matter. In that way this price hike certainly has enraged people inspite of the various reasons quoted by the politicians.
One simple question I ask on behalf of the people is " What were these politicians doing these many years???? Why didn't they foresee this ??"
People are really very worried about this crisis. To add to this our great C.M. is celebrating his birthday and also an all women's meet at Kadalur with pomp and show spending "our"money.
Let's hope this changes!

Tamil nadu's Educational system

10 % of IIT Madras students are from A.P. while from T.N. its less than 2 %

This is the situation of today's educational system of our state. This fact was recently published in a tamil weekly.
This is definitely not the fault of the students. Our great politicians need to understand the importance of quality education. The scenario today is, if a student gets 95% then he is brilliant. The other thing that is adding fuel to this burning fire is the scrapping of the entrance examinations.
Nowadays even actors and actresses are coming out with doc. films to support the importance of education. But why are other's not coming?
Industrialists like Vijay Mallya are ready to invest their money in F1 races and IPL matches but are not ready to do it for a noble cause.
The need of the hour is a very well refined education system that not only places the students at reputed and standard institutions but also brings out the real talent concealed in them

IS THERE AN ENERGETIC FUTURE FOR US?

"Oil nears $126 a barrel"

--NEWS

The price rise in the world market is a worrying situation for us. The main reason for the hike is the steady depletion of the oil resources in the wells. Today, oil is considered one of the major energy resources. Without oil, it is very hard to go along with our daily activities.
Yet scientists had already forecasted this situation, and are working day and night in order to find a suitable replacement for oil. Though we have abundant solar energy, the efficiency is very poor. Hence it is high time that we start conserving our energy and utilise the available resources properly.
Even the oil rich nations have understood the situation, and have started showing their interests towards other fields of money making, such as tourism, IT etc.
Its unimaginable to think of the situation without oil. Want of resources should definitely not be an obstacle for developing nations like India. The so-called VETO nations, that includes the U.S.
can start thinking over this energy crisis in a scientific manner rather than enslaving nations and throwing blames on others.

ROAD TO CHINA

"OLYMPIC TORCH INCHES NEARER TO EVEREST SUMMIT"
---NEWS

The date for the next olympics game is approaching. The relay had already started its journey around the world and is now ready to conquer the highest peak in the world. Sportsmen all over the world are excited and the entire planet is expecting the game. But..
There were certain unwanted and unnecessary obstacles in the relay in the past one month. The torch relay was disrupted in London and Paris because of which high security was held in India.
It was very saddening to watch all the Indian players carry the torch amidst a group of security personnel rather than the cheers and applauds of the Indian people. China's stand on the political stature of Tibet is highly official. Its heartening to see politics being blended with sports.
Dalai Lama, the Tibetan leader , being the stimulant of all these protests ,should have acted as a matured leader. He chose this Olympics as the attention puller for their objective.
Sports is being played for universal brotherhood and friendship. But the same sports is being used to create a state of hatred between nations also.
Lets hope the games will be conducted without any embarrassments to the host.

PURPOSE OF EDUCATION

Today's way of education can be understood from the figure itself -- Books, Books and Books.
Bookish knowledge is what today's generation are acquiring. Its not their fault. The environment demands that. If a student gets I rank in the board examinations, he is considered a genius by parents, staffs, and relatives. Even the government lauds them. Definitely its sheer hardwork that had made that student to get that position. But is that hardwork done with a proper perspective? No.
Students just memorize concepts, theories, formulas and ..... Really a topper might be able to answer any questions from the book he learnt. But apart from that he will just be a watcher. Its because the educational pattern today is so vague and marks oriented. Practical knowledge is found in only a few students. They definitely are not toppers. Its a fact that Scientists are always the ones who were considered useless.
And our great government had recently scrapped the Entrance examinations. What a way to understand the feelings of the poor! The government feels by exempting that exam, poor students will come up in life. But will they be able to sustain in today's world? No.
Instead scrapping one of the talent testing examinations, the government should have taken steps to start coaching centers in the rural areas. Institutions like BITS are bringing in Entrance exams whereas our government is removing them.
Certainly this is a bad move. Admission based on 12th marks is another sad move. Only when the standard of the exam is increased, there will be some meaning in using those marks for admission.
"Revolution in Education" is the need of the hour. Lets hope the situation changes in the future.

MICROSOFT'S WITHDRAWAL

Its been hard time for Yahoo in the stock market as Microsoft withdrew its bid on the company earlier this week. Microsoft's bid of 44.6 billion dollar on Yahoo was one of the highly anticipated dealings in world business.
Well, if Microsoft had acquired Yahoo, then it would have used all its facilities to enhance its own message service , The Hotmail. However this withdrawal had affected Yahoo's stand in the stock market. Its shares were abated to about 16 percent on Monday. Yet Yahoo is confident of bouncing back and maintaining the status of the world's best web portal.
Such type of acquisitions is not a new one. This is also one of the new techniques of doing business in today's competitive world. The reason may be the changing environment. Companies which were established in the past cannot cope up with the current demands in the market. So they naturally sell themselves to bigger companies. But the above deal (Microsoft - Yahoo) is not of above said genre.
In the future we may see a lot of more bids and acquisitions that would decide the economic status of the world nations.

BUSH the Dictator

"The reason for the inflation in food prices in the world is India. Indian people eat a lot". This is what George W Bush commented on the price rise issue.

Certainly Dr.Manmohan Singh had made a grave mistake by signing U.S. Nuclear deal. This pact with the Americans had thrown the reins of the Indian horse into their hands.

India is a developing nation. The ever increasing population of the country needs to be fed with all the basic commodities. As our nation is in a growing path, money has started to flow in people's hands. This quite naturally may lead to increase in consumption of the basic commodities that includes food. These are good signs for our country. I don't understand how we inflate the prices of food. Its just throwing blame over others. It is Bush's habit to peep into other people's windows rather than staying inside his own house.

Under the pretext of terrorism eradication, he attacked the oil rich nations acquired them. His next target is of course our country. In order to show his power, he even commanded India not to sign any pacts with Iran. Yet India made a fitting reply straight into his faces by telling that "We know what to do"

Thus i would say that India needs to be cautious in all the ventures it undertakes from now on , because there are lot of envious eyes on us , trying to dismantle us, and suppress us.
